A Busy Saturday

Today's been a busy day...

Worked out with Cortney...

Found out my favorite resale shop is closed...  :(

Met new people...  :)

Found a surprise for a friend...  ;)

Had lunch at Pei Wei...

Found last pieces of my outfit for Thursday's outreach...  :D

Had an emergency come up at work...  :(

Finished the day out with movies and laundry.

And tomorrow starts all too soon. Praise God for today.  :)

Kemah...etc

Wow. Life changes in the blink of an eye.

Last Friday, a group of the young adults from church celebrated Rico's birthday at Kemah....

No we didn't eat at Bubba Gump....

We ate at Saltgrass instead... (Don't let Raeshelle near any knives....)

The last time I went on a roller coaster, I didn't like it very much, but that was years and years ago, so they convinced me to go on the Bullet (one of two wooden roller-coasters in Texas)....

 And I found out I'm still scared! :/ So I didn't ride anything else except the carousel...

And of course the biggest carousel animal was a sea dragon. Felt like Narnia. :D

 We had lots of fun!!

It's September already. I've been working at my new job for 6 months, and I moved into my apartment on August 1st. September 1st I threw a little party to celebrate....

I can't wait to see what God does next!

Normal? Don't make me laugh.

Some people just don't get it. They never will until they let God renew their minds.

God has a plan.

His plan has a time.

His plan has a purpose.

If I follow God's plan, I will be blessed.

If I don't, I won't. 

I am doing my best with what I have.

I am letting God handle the rest.

I am trusting Him.

I won't do things the "normal" way.

I will do things God's way. 

 

They say "you need this"

and "you need that"

and "do things this way"

BUT THEY HAVE NO IDEA

that their way brings death.

their way brings chaos, disorder, and confusion.

None of that has any place in my life.

God is order.

God is love.

God is peace, justice, and righteousness.

God speaks clearly; we have to listen.

 God shows us the correct way to go.

God desires to bless us.

To give us a future, and a hope.

Why would I want "normal"

When I can have "above all that I can ask or think"?

God's will is best. 

Every time. 

I'll never be normal. 

They'll have to learn to live with that.

Garden

It's astounding how time and attention changes seeds to plants to fruits and veggies. It's an amazing feeling to fill your plate, knowing everything you are eating is healthy.

New Life.   Healthy Life.   Goal #4.   :)

New Job

God answers prayer. I've been at my new job 3 weeks. :D
My new garden is growing really fast. :)
Busy with school, so more later!

Today

Second day of the 21-day fast.

Some of my prayers for this fast:
New commitment.
New revelation of God.
New job. New place.

During corporate prayer tonight, I asked for God to show me how to love Him, beyond the words I say & songs I sing. Ironically, He answered with a song:

I (God) want to hear you cry for Me.
I want to hear you sing for Me.
I want to hear you pour our heart out, wanting only Me.
I want to be your heart's desire.
I want to set your heart on fire.
I want to see you reach for Me, long for Me, hope for Me, cry for Me, wanting Me.

His Presence at prayer was wonderful.
